Service areas
Defiance, Bryan, and surrounding areas. New locations are added as we continue training the doves. Contact us to find out if we can do a release for your special event.
How are the doves released?
First we go to your event location and find the best spot for the release considering the viewing and safety of the birds, such as avoiding dense areas of power lines or trees. At weddings, usually the doves are released once the bride and groom exit the ceremony in place of the guests throwing rice. The bride and groom may hand-release their doves or open a basket on a stand to release the doves.
At funerals, a spirit dove is released from a loved one's hands or from a basket at graveside while a representative from Heaven Sent releases the Trinity of doves nearby. You may wish to choose a Bible verse or poem to be read just prior to the release or ask for a moment of silence.
We will help you know how to hold the dove if you choose a hand release. Please remember these are live animals and therefore unexpected occurrences are possible.
Can I have a sunset or night release or indoor release?
The short answer is no. For the safety of our birds we will not do any indoor releases.
The general behavior of the birds is that they go into the loft about an hour before sunset. If you're having an evening wedding, we'll calculate if a release is possible based on the time of day, time of year, and distance home. If your ceremony runs late and our birds do not have time to return home before sunset, we will not release the birds and we will not issue a refund. For evening ceremonies, you may still choose to have a dove display without a release.
